A Pap smear, also called a Pap test, is a screening procedure for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells on the cervix.

MDHSS have Pap Screening services throughout the year.

Looking after your health is important and by screening regularly it can drastically increase your chances of identifying irregular cells before they develop.

Having a pap screen after the age of 21 helps establish a record of what normal and abnormal cell activity is for you which is then monitored.

Early detection of unhealthy cells can make a huge difference to long term wellness and damage prevention.
